Un documentar în 3 părți realizat în colaborare cu Tatiana Fiodorova, Vladimir Us, Vadim Ţigănaş și Denis Bartenev, produs în cadrul proiectului “RO-MD/Moldova în Două Scenarii”, 2008, curator Ștefan Rusu.
Partea a III-a a filmului se întitulează Localitatea cu un singur monument și reprezintă o scurtă analiză a principalelor voci și actori care se fac auziți, și a intereselor care sînt prezente în spațiul public chișinăuian.
„Dacă până în ‘89 acesta a fost politizat şi ideologizat excesiv, fiind dominat de sculpturi şi elemente de arhitectură cu un caracter monumental pronunţat, atunci după obţinerea independenţei Republicii Moldova noţiunea de spaţiu public, precum şi instituţia sau funcţia publică este pusă în discuţie abia foarte recent. Între timp o bună parte a acestuia trece în mâinile private ale comercianţilor sau sub influenţa politicienilor corupţi, astfel încercându-se o manipulare ceva mai subtilă a opiniei publice, iar cetăţenii acestei ţări, anterior ideologizaţi, sunt trecuti la categoria de consumatori.”
A documentary film in 3 parts realized in collaboration by Tatiana Fiodorova, Vladimir Us, Vadim Ţigănaş and Denis Bartenev, produced in the frame of “RO-MD/Moldova in Two Scenarios”, 2008, curator Stefan Rusu.
The third part of the film is entitled „The Place with a Single Monument”, realized by Vladimir Us and Vadim Ţigănaş. The film addresses the controversial facets of the public space. With the break-up of the socialist block, the latter goes through a new type of transformation, being subject to changes day by day. If before 1989, the public space used to be excessively politicized and ideology-based, being dominated by sculptures and architectural elements of a strong monumental character, after obtaining the independence of the Republic of Moldova, the notion ‘public space’, as well as that of public institution or function has been put to discussion only recently. It is evident that the new liberal framework is much more superior to the previous regimes and manages to incorporate most of the discourse types, including new discourses that used to circulate in this space until currently. The inter-penetration of elements belonging to the communist ideology with capitalist symbols, the cohabitation of patriotic propaganda with the free market propaganda, people’s liberation from a repressive regime doubled by their liberty conditioning through limitation of their purchasing power, etc. – all these literally characterize the transition period that we are now all going through.
