Pe data de 11 ianuarie 2008, avocatul Josh Cohen, angajat de către municipalitatea din Cleveland a dat în judecată 21 de bănci. Cu toate acestea nimic nu s-a întîmplat, iar procesul în sine a fost tărăgănat. Regizorul de film, Jean-Stephane Bron, a decis să-l teatralizeze împreună cu actorii reali ai acestei istorii adevărate. E mai mult decât un film despre o problemă locală – el pune la îndoială întregul sistem de împrumuturi și de consum.

On January 11, 2008, the lawyer Josh Cohen hired by the Cleveland municipality filed a lawsuit against 21 banks. However they tried it never happened and the real process kept waiting. The director, Jean-Stephane Bron, decided to stage it with the real actors of this true story. Its more than just a local problem, it’s a questioning of the mechanisms of subprime mortgage loans and the over consumption.
