Oare noi conducem oraşul sau oraşul ne conduce pe noi? Ne transformăm în automate? Este primarul Pragăi mai mult ciclist decît populist? În Auto*mat, Martin Mareček caută răspunsuri la întrebările care vizează viaţa în oraş, civilizaţia în mişcare şi încerearcă să producă schimbarea. Un film care combină stilurile documentar cu animaţia, pipărînd firul narativ cu provocări, de la manifestaţii poetice împotriva maşinilor la o componentă constructivă a unei societăţi civile.

Do we rule the city, or the does the city reign over us? Are we becoming automats? Is the Mayor of Prague more cyclist than populist? In Auto*mat Martin Mareček searches for answers to questions related to life in the city, civilization in motion and attempts to achieve change. A film of many styles, combining documentary with animation, jazzing up the time principle by provoking situations and from poetic demonstrations against cars to constructive component of a living civic society.
